Pierce Brosnan is just okay as Mike, but he has no relationships with the other characters - which is the whole point of the story. He is supposed to be romantic and attracted to Mattie and yet it is not even believable because he talks to her something like two times the whole movie. There is no connection between Mike and Kyra.
